Hi lovely ladies. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with friends and family. It's boxing day today here in Canada. And I always around this time of year start thinking about what I can do for the following year. What did I achieve? What didn't I achieve? Um, I'm not a huge new year's Eve celebration person. Don't get me wrong. I love a great cocktail party. Anybody knows, knows I love socializing. I love dressing up and celebrating. Um, but I don't love the expectation of new year's Eve. So normally I just lay low and I always finally sometimes have a better time. I've done the big parties and sometimes I get let down these days, I just lay low. Maybe it's my age. I don't know. maybe because for so many years I always had to work on new year's day. So I feel like that's also why I just stay home. That's sort of out of habit, but this year I'm staying home. And one thing I plan on doing between now and the new year is something that I usually do. I usually take stock of what I did the year before, what I didn't do, the goals I have and what I want to accomplish in the following year. So, not a new year's resolution, a goal plan, a plan with measurable goals, action steps in a timeframe that you want to achieve the goal by. And I always, always, always write these goals down. So one thing I always say is take the time to reflect on the things that you maybe didn't get done for whatever reason. And this isn't an exercise to beat yourself up. That's not what this is about. It's about making a new plan for next year. Maybe your action steps that you were too big from last year and you gave up because you didn't see any success or maybe you decide you're going to have the same goal for next year, but you'll break the action steps down so you can celebrate your wins no matter how small they are in order to stay motivated.
Maybe you didn't have a timeframe that you wanted to achieve this goal by. So you didn't know when you were going to achieve it in your head. You didn't have that timeframe. So you just kind of went along thinking you had all the time in the world. Maybe you didn't know where to start. Maybe you need someone to hold you accountable or someone to, with motivation or give you the confidence to keep moving. I've been there. I've been there myself, sometimes just having the goal on your own. You don't know where to start. But one thing I do also is I write down how my life would look if I achieved just one of my goals. So how would your life look if you achieved just one of your goals into 2022, the first step is not just writing down all the things, all the dreams and goals you have, but also writing down how your life will look when you achieve these goals and dreams. This was literally my first step. When I decided I wanted to make some changes and start living the life. I'd always imagined.
